First Story

If any of you are interested, you can go to the BYU Weekly website and see my first piece for them. It is about the Marion K. "Doc" Smith Symposium on Science Fiction and Fatasy at BYU. I can't imagine all of my stories will be as fun as this one was. I got to interview Orson Scott Card, my friend Jake, and several other authors, and generally participate in the whole thing. I learned a lot about writing (a personal area of interest) and enjoy the unique company.

It will play occasionally on BYUTV, including this Wednesday at 4:30. If you're really dying to see it on an actual television, come on over. I have it on DVR.

OH, on their site. Ya, I'll have to ask my boss about that. But you can watch the whole program, my piece is about...7 minutes in? I think? It's after sports and before the sword club.

Haha...Don't you mean The Quill and the Sword club? BYU is awesome sometimes, isn't it? I haven't seen you in a while. We should hang out. I have chocolate chip cookie dough for the eating in my fridge. It's mighty tasty.

I stop by your office and you're never there. Cookie dough is a great idea. I'll give you a call.

Aust, couldn't make it work online yesterday, but got it to work today. I'm so proud. I love it when you walk into the shot as you're talking, you were awesome. So fun to get to see your work. Is Ella Enchanted lady LDS? Also fun to see Orson Scott Card, I'm a fan of his non sci-fi work, haven't read the sci-fi stuff, but like what I have read of women from the bible series. Bravo Brother! Just because I once tried to stop you from entering this major doesn't mean I won't be your biggest cheerleader!

Thanks Nancy. Ella Enchanted lady isn't LDS (that I'm aware of) But hopefully knows she has a lot of fans amongst the Mormons.

Ditto to everything Nancy said about your piece. You did a great job. I probably even saw it before Nancy, but you know how hard it is for me to elbow my way onto this computer! Better late than never.
