You may know Feist from one of the newest Apple ad. It caught my attention. I like the video they used, and I like the one I've posted below even more. They're each one long take. I'm almost always a fan of that. I also like their straightforwardness. She makes no pretense about what a music video is, simply a silly song and dance number. No more, no less. I appreciate the simultaneous simplicity and originality. She does a really great job with it.
I've been listening to this song a lot lately, and feeling pretty melancholy. You can criticize me for seeming emo or sounding trite, but that is the word I'm choosing. I feel melancholy.

Oh austin craig, I have nothing but straight love for you. You feeling melancholy makes me feel a little sad. But then I remember when I feel melancholy the last thing I want is for people to feel sad. So I won't. I will just feel like your friend.
I heart feist and this is a great video- pure craziness. I hope you're listening to her other stuff too. It's perfect for feeling melancholy. In fact, I've been feeling that way myself lately so I could give you lots of melancholy music recommendations. :)
I'm glad you won't feel sad, and glad we're friends. Thanks.
Natter, by all means, start with the recommendations.
Brilliant. I love this video. I love the song. I wish I could be amongst the explosions. Absolutely wonderful.
Just a note -- Feist doesn't sing in the Apple ad. It's a bad that does sound EXACTLY like Feist, but they are named Yael Naim.
BTW, I also heart Feist like I cannot express...one of the few CDs I own, and certainly the most recent.
That should say *band, not bad...and it wasn't a Freudian slip...it was the father of a two-month-old slip. ;-)
I forgot that they *were* in the ipod commercials...I was just thinking of the Airbook ads...my mistake(s)...
