It isn't easy to manage what your diet consists of. Anybody who'se tried to lose (or gain) weight can tell you that. But it's a primary factor in the length and quality of your whole life. Think about that, your entire life. Worth making an effort. It can directly save you from eventual heart disease, and, it turns out, cancer. Those two account for over half the disease deaths in the United States. Think about that, you will live much longer if you eat right. Why aren't all of us intensely studying this subject? I need to learn more.
Here is a good place to start. Take a look at how changing your diet can prevent cancer in an almost sure-fire way. Fascinating.

This is terrific, Austin.
I find that when I increase my intake of "anti-angiogenic" foods it is quite natural to drastically reduce, and even eliminate, the foods that drive cancer growth, athersclerosis, etc (animal protein and refined grains, primarily). The good foods kind of squeeze out the bad, a principle I find consistent in all of life.
Way to spread the good word. The more people we get on board the fewer awkward moments we will have when our kids go to birthday parties and we have to decide what to do about hot dogs and crisco-laden cupcakes.
Sick!
I've been looking into this a lot since I began incubating humans. My diet has changed drastically in the last three years or so. I am happy to say it makes a huge difference in how I feel. And yeah, eventually you stop craving the "bad" stuff.
